This is a wonderful sounding Yamaha 82Z Custom Tenor Saxophone with a serial number around 176xxx. This model was specifically developed to be great in both the concert band and the jazz worlds, so they have an edge over other saxophones for players who like to do both. It helps capture the older vintage sound many jazz players search for in newer saxophones. Listen to saxophone legend, Jeff Coffin, on an un-lacquered 82Z and you’ll understand what I mean.
This horn is completely un-lacquered, which gives it the beautiful rustic look. It’s only available new through custom order. Nice to be able to pick up such a clean model used. I will set this instrument up before it leaves the shop to ensure that it is in perfect playing condition. It has its original case in great condition. Get this awesome horn before it's gone!
