Here is a great example of a player’s Selmer Super tenor. These are some of the best playing and sounding vintage horns. They have the fatness of a Conn, with the punch and response of an 80k Selmer Mark VI.
This tenor has approximately 60% original lacquer. There were a few very minor dings in the back of the body tube and the bottom bow. They were removed when the horn was mechanically overhauled here in the shop. I used slightly oversized domed Tenor Madness brass resonators on Pisoni Pro pads. Mechanically, it is as good as it was when it left the shop in 1933.
This horn has no engraving on the bell, just the Selmer stamp on the front of the bell.
