This Selmer Mark VI is a player’s horn. With some of the original lacquer missing, you can tell that this horn has been loved—for good reason. This tenor has a warm, even tone throughout the whole range of the horn, but also has a bite to it. It is extremely free-blowing and has a very light key action. All in all, it is superb choice in a Mark VI at a steal of a price compared to some earlier VI’s.
Despite being a player’s horn, this tenor is in great physical condition. Some of the guard feet have been re-soldered, but the all minor dents were taken out during its recent overhaul in the shop. It also has new Pisoni Pro pads with plastic resonators, making it in great playing condition right when you pick it up from the shop.
