Here is a great Mark VI tenor. This is the perfect player’s Mark VI. It has a big and even tone across the registers.
Mechanically, this horn was rebuilt I’m assuming by the late Ken Beason. It has what appears to be his great work and definitely has his large Beasonators for resonators. Physically, this horn has most of its original lacquer. There are no signs of any major dent work. The only issue is someone had cut the body to bow band and has re-soldered it. It does not affect playability at all, just cosmetic.
This horn is a great opportunity for the serious saxophonist to bring their playing to the next level.
