This is a Martin Committee II Tenor Saxophone with a serial number of 131xxx. These horns are known for having a "Lion and Crown" engraving on the bell. These are old horns that definitely have a powerful and loud sound that can handle any amount of air you can put into it. Not only that, but they usually have a fantastic tone that can really have a great ring to it.
This horn was recently rebuilt with domed brass resonators and is playing as well as you could expect! There is a real WOW and FUN element to this axe!
The serial number on this horn dates it back to 1938. Given that this horn is over 80 years old, it’s impressive that there is still 75-80% of its original lacquer, which is a fantastic number for a horn of this age. Get this horn at this wonderful price before it's gone!
