Many consider the King Zephyr Special to be the most beautiful saxophone ever made. That’s a pretty subjective statement, but it’s hard to deny that several of its unique features help to make it qualify. Like full pearls. The perimeter design of the key guards and the way they show off the pad cup engraving. Not to mention the gorgeous bell engraving. The Zephyr Specials are few and far between.
Then there’s the way they sound. Sonically this one has more power and punch than most Super 20’s. A genuine player with a lot of honest wear. It’s had a couple of small dents removed and a post or two re-soldered. At some point, this horn was re-lacquered, but done well. The engraving still is intact and looks good. The body tube is straight. The pads are almost new and will last several years. It comes with a Protec case or can be upgraded to the case of your choice.
