This is a King Super 20 Silver Sonic Tenor Saxophone made in 1960. If you were ordering a King Tenor Saxophone in 1960 and wanted the absolute best, this was the horn you would order. This horn is in amazing shape given its age. In addition it features the special order 14K gold inlay. The neck is in amazing condition with no signs of previous repair and the body is just as nice. Silver Sonics from this time period are known for their big “fat” sound and this horn is no exception. It has a lot of punch and projection and is a real joy to play. This horn plays great on older pads but ultimately could use an overhaul in the near future. This horn also comes with its beautiful, original red king case. This silver sonic would be a great addition to any King fan’s collection! Contact us if you are interested in packaging in an overhaul with this purchase.
