This is a vintage Series III King Super 20 silver sonic tenor. This horn was made at the King factory in Cleveland and has a single socket sterling neck and the classic King Super 20 sound. For only $6500 this tenor can be a great investment into your vintage collection.
This tenor is in superb physical condition with no dents or signs of past body repairs. There is only one area of scratches on the backside of the body tube, which is common for a horn of this age. Other than that, this tenor is near MINT with +95% of its original finish. This tenor has the classic sunburst engraving on the low B and Bb pad cups. Another special feature is the sterling silver neck and bell, which is what differentiates this as a Silversonic.
This horn is currently playing on older pads, but would be a great candidate for a complete mechanical restoration and is being sold as-is. Contact us for pricing if you are interested in having this horn rebuilt here at the shop.
