If you are looking for that Lester Young sound, look no further. This horn is 190 numbers away from Lester’s New Wonder. That would put these horns being made within a week of each other’s.
This horn came to my shop a couple years ago to get the full overhaul treatment. The remaining lacquer was stripped. All the small dings were removed and everything was straightened. It received a complete rebuild with Pisoni Pro pads, brass A-B resonators, and new springs. This tenor was not the main horn for the owner, so the rebuild is still in amazing condition with years of playability left on the setup. The patina on this tenor is amazing after a couple years!
It came with a later 16M neck that plays well on it, but my customer opted for a time correct, gold plated Conn neck. Both necks are included in the purchase price. It also comes with a Hiscox case.
