Its dark honey lacquer is original and has pads that are in great condition. It has also had a recent overhaul from a top notch shop, so it will be ready to play right out of the box.
As for its sound, it has the classic huge sound that Conn’s are known for. It is powerful and full, but also is extremely rich and even throughout the registers. Its higher register is particularly free-blowing.
