This is a C.G. Conn 10M tenor saxophone from 1938. 10Ms of this vintage are considered by many to be some of the finest sounding American tenor saxophones ever created. This horn is certainly no exception.
The sound of a Conn 10M is definitely different than the “modern sound” that people are used to hearing these days, but once you hear it you will never forget it. This horn has been re-lacquered quite some time ago, giving this particular horn a very unique coloration.
This horn seems to have a relatively new pad job with ResoTec resonators. This saxophone sounds awesome, and it'll be gone soon, so get it while you still can!
