Berg Larsen 130-2-Offset M Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece
This is an original “Scoop Bill” Berg Larsen mouthpiece (designated by the very pronounced upward scoop right behind the bite-plate). These “Scoop Bill” models all have a straight drop-off at the back of the baffle and did not change in design very much from the early 1950s through the 1980s. You can also see the denim tool marks along the table if you look closely. Barring some slight corrosion on the table, the side rails, table and outer body are all in good shape.
This piece is extremely free-blowing and has a big, fat husky sound that will easily fill up the room. Compared to other similar Bergs, though, this piece has a dark sound (reminiscent of Sonny Rollins’ playing on a Berg). Comes with cap and lig (not original). Add this to your collection today!
