This is a Selmer Centered Tone clarinet made in 1956. This is the famous clarinet that was marketed as “The Large Bore Jazz Clarinet” and “Benny Goodman’s Clarinet.” This clarinet is in great condition, given its age, and has had one very small crack repaired. It features a tapered bore and large tone holes for a clear centered tone throughout all registers. This clarinet was rebuilt in our shop a couple years ago, and still has a number of years left playing on these pads.
This horn comes with its original Chesterfield Case.
