This is an original lacquer, model 139 Buescher Custom Built Baritone Saxophone. It has about 90% of its original lacquer and still has all of its original pads and snap on resonators. To find this rare of a saxophone with its original pads and resonators is simply remarkable. This horn features art-deco/”Custom Built” engraving and is truly a sight to behold.
It’s hard to quantify just how rare this model 139 custom built Bari truly is. But It is rumored that only 400 were ever produced. That being the case we don’t want to misquote or misrepresent any information on this rare saxophone. But for some background information on these horns here is a thread talking about them on SOTW.
