There is definitely a reason these early medium bow Mark VI altos are so coveted. Selmer really figured out the intonation with them. Plus they have incredible core and remarkable power. This 144xxx exemplifies the Sanborn alto perfectly. It has been relacquered but that hasn't affected its sound. Pure Mark VI. Definitely a lead alto. It's set up with metal resonators and is an American assembled horn. No pull down on the neck and no damage to the body other than wear. It's a dream to play.
