This is a gorgeous Martin Committee II alto saxophone in stunning original condition. These horns are known for the beautiful engraving on the bell that features a vertically placed "Martin" font as well as their iconic lion and crown.
Committee II's don't come up for sale that often and are some of the most desirable Martin saxophones ever produced. This particular horn dates back to 1940, which puts it in the coveted era of pre-WWII American made saxophones!
Physically speaking, this horn is an absolute spectacle! It is in amazing, all original condition and is like a time capsule into what these horns would have looked like brand new back in 1940. There is one spot of corrosion just below the bell to body brace and that is it. Everything else is original and untouched. The horn also has its original case which is in great shape as well!
This horn will surely be a great addition to the collection of whoever decides to purchase it. Pre-WWII American horns in this kind of original shape just don't come around very often. Don't miss your opportunity on this one and get it while you can!
