This is a sweet King Zephyr alto saxophone that was made in 1948. This horn has definitely seen it's fair share of playing time. It has about 75% of it's original lacquer. Apart from the lacquer wear, this horn does not show any major physical damage, nor is in need of serious mechanical repair. This horn's neck also features a double socket receiver.
Zephyrs from this vintage feature a much more ergonomic feel than their earlier counterparts, especially the table keys. If you are looking for that signature vintage King sound but don’t want to spend the money for a Super 20, this is the horn for you.
