This Dolnet alto is fresh off the bench. It just went through a full mechanical overhaul using Pisoni Pro pads and our brass domed resonators. The silver plating was polished up, and a few very small dents were removed. Cosmetically, it is in great condition, with just a little plating wear around the edges of keys and guards. This sax features a high F# that is positioned with the rest of the palm keys, accessed with your left hand.
Dolnet saxophones were manufactured in Paris France around the same time as other, lesser known saxophones. It shares features similar to Couesnon, Buffet, and SML, all built around the same time period in the 50’s and 60’s.
