This is a Conn 26M Alto Saxophone with a serial number of 269xxx. Conn 26M saxophones are well known to be one of the best types of saxophones ever made. This horn was made sometime in 1935, dating it back over 80 years! This horn has a fabulous tone, with amazing intonation along with that too. There are a huge range of words to describe the sound of these 26M saxophones from dark and rich, to warm and beautiful, all the way to powerful and focused. This is an extremely great model of saxophone.
This saxophone in particular has sterling silver touch keys, that can be seen in the pictures above. Not only that, but it has also been nicely re-lacquered, with very few small parts of the engraving filled in a tiny bit. The re-lacquer is in great shape as of now.
