Here is an absolutely stunning Buescher Big B alto. Horns like this don’t come along often! It has the majority of its gorgeous, dark, honey colored lacquer. There are no signs of any dent work or solder joints on this alto. This alto is early enough in the series to still have the G# trill.
We just rebuilt this horn with Pisoni Pro Pads shellacked in the pad cups and using the original pad snaps. All the original Norton springs are intact!
These horns have excellent intonation, comfortable keywork, top shelf build quality, with a warm, centered tone. If you want to hear a great example of the sweet sound these have, take a listen to Johnny Hodges!
