This is a vintage jazz Otto Link from the 40s. This was the first Link to have the ridge on the top of the mouthpiece to help center the ligature. This piece has a relatively small tip opening, but because these mouthpieces had low baffles, huge chambers, and long, deep facings, they much respond better with smaller tip openings. This particular model of Otto Link was famously played by Bird, Stitt, and Benny Carter! This piece features the serial number, D76, stamped on the side. If you want a sound that projects, but is still extremely versatile, pick up this piece today! (Note: does not come with ligature.)
