Here is a nice vintage Otto Link NY metal mouthpiece for the alto saxophone. This is one of Link’s earliest models and features a serial number stamping of F67. Facing number 4 equates to a .041” tip opening. This mouthpiece produces a lyrical, colorful tone, with a great responsiveness throughout the entire range of the horn. Ideal for a cutting jazz sound, with some tastefulness. This mouthpiece is a great vintage player that really does produce a great tone effortlessly.

MASTER LINK MOUTHPIECE (Early 1930s): The first mouthpiece Otto Link made in the early 1930s was the MASTER LINK. It had cut out ridges beside or under the table, allowing the ligature to slide on. These mouthpieces have a very low baffle, a huge chamber and typically a very small tip opening (usually a 3 or 4) with a long, deep facing. Hence, they had a very warm, dark, sound.
